Kailash Nath Khattri (1934–2007)

Kailash Nath Khattri was born on 9 June 1934 in Banaras, India, and was involved in teaching and research in almost all aspects of geophysics, including seismology for more than 40 years when he died on 24 April 2007 in Dehradun. He was 73 years old.

Professor Khattri got his primary education in Lucknow. He took his B.Sc. with honors in geophysics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, in 1956. He was awarded M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in 1968 and 1969 respectively from St. Louis University in the United States.
