David M. Boore, SSA member and former editor of the Bulletin of
the Seismological Society of America, has been awarded the annual
Trifunac Award of the Indian Society of Earthquake Technology. Boore, a
geophysicist with the U.S. Geological Survey, is an authority on strong
earthquake ground-motion characterization and data processing, and his methods
for seismic hazard analysis are used worldwide.
