	SSA Members Named to NEHRP Advisory Committee

 
Seven members of the Seismological Society of America are among the distinguished academic, industry, and government experts who have been appointed to the National Earthquake Hazards Reduction Program (NEHRP) Advisory Committee on Earthquake Hazards Reduction.

They are:

• Walter J. Arabasz, Research Professor, Department of Geology and Geophysics, and Director, Seismograph Stations, University of Utah, Salt Lake City, Utah. He also serves on the SSA Government Relations Committee.
  
• Jonathan D. Bray, Professor, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of California, Berkeley, California.
  
• Lloyd S. Cluff, Director, Geosciences Department and Earthquake Risk Management Program, Pacific Gas and Electric Co., San Francisco, California.
  
• James R. Harris, President, J.R. Harris and Co., Denver, Colorado.
